Kris Allen: A Christian Wins American Idol!

The final American Idol showdown brought in almost 100 million votes with a small-town worship pastor from Arkansas being the victor. Kris Allen is also a Christian and so far has been an interesting example of humility in a world of super-sized egos and image. American Idol judge Simon Cowell even found Kris' humble attitude "off-putting". 

Before American Idol, Kris was a worship leader at New Life Church in Maumelle, Arkansas, as well as at the Chi Alpha campus ministry of the University of Central Arkansas. He has done missionary work around the world, including in Burma, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain and Thailand. 

It's incredible how many people the show American Idol reaches. Gospel Spots has been privileged to run evangelistic TV spots during the show in the past and we believe for more in the future!

Pray for Kris Allen as he steps into this highly visible role, and for Gospel Spots to be able to boldly evangelize America, utilizing shows like American idol.

This is SCARY! Or is it?

People are... scared. They’re buying “survival supplies” and gun sales are skyrocketing.

People are... mad. They’re holding tax protest tea parties and talking of a new American revolution.

People are... wondering what all this means. They’re wondering if there is any hope.

We know we have the answer to that question. Yes, there is hope. And that hope is Jesus.

If you’re like me, you’re probably getting dozens of emails a week with alarming subject matter. I’ll admit some of the emails do cause great concern. The increasing hatred shown for the Jewish people and Israel, for example.

Is it time to head for the hills? Stockpile canned goods, guns and gold? Maybe, maybe not. But with so many evangelistic opportunities before us, there are compelling reasons for Gospel Spots to increase our efforts, not hunker down.

Cable TV companies are hurting for business right now. They love to take our calls to place Gospel Spots on their cable channels. But... if that should change and they tell us our messages are “too controversial” or they can no longer accept them...

Billboard companies are still willingly putting up our evangelistic messages. (See the picture of the billboard that just went up on a heavily traveled road in Palm Springs.) But when the billboard companies begin to refuse our business...

Radio stations all over America have many open and unsold commercial slots. They’re happy to take our money right now and play 60 seconds of evangelistic Scriptures. However, if the day should come when they tell us that new FCC rules don’t allow them to accept our advertising dollars or Euros, or whatever, then... maybe then ... but right now...

The fields are “white unto harvest”.

We would like to INCREASE our efforts during this time.

The Other Side is Not Sleeping

No, they are wide-awake. They are busy putting up anti-God billboards and other advertising to promote their “beliefs”. It’s a spiritual war for the souls of men and women. Gospel Spots has been fighting in this war for over 10 years. Thank you for your support!

Game 3 is this Sunday...and in Lubbock & Victoria, Texas we'll be running an evangelistic TV spot campaign during Games 3 & 4 ... and 5, 6 & 7 if needed! Games are on TNT.

This Week: Gospel Spots in Spurs Playoffs!

The NBA playoffs are heating up, and Gospel Spots will be in the middle of the action! San Antonio vs. New Orleans.

In Lubbock & Victoria, Texas we will be running an evangelistic TV spot campaign during Game 4 and 5...and depending on the outcome...during the rest as well!

Watch Game 4 & 5 on TNT. If there are more games, they will either be on TNT or ESPN.

As well as running spots during the Playoffs, we are simultaneously running spots on other cable stations. Look for Gospel Spots on Fox News, MTV, ESPN & TNT through the 18th!

Thousands of Southern California drivers to see the Gospel!

We currently have three Gospel Spots evangelistic billboards up in the Southern California Coachella Valley...all on Interstate 10. Just one of these billboards gets over 42,000 views per day! That's a lot of bang for our Gospel buck!

These pictures were taken through the windshield of a moving car! (Hence, the rearview mirror in the shots!) So if you've never driven by one...this is the next best thing.

Gospel Spots Billboards have been put up in 12 states! (And other media campaigns in 33 states!) Billboards enable us to reach an incredible amount of people for a relatively small amount of money.
